Students will learn how to play the Violin. They will learn proper set-up, left hand technique, and how to hold and utilize the bow appropriately. Students will learn to play songs such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Lightly Row through teacher’s Suzuki instruction. Students will begin to learn how to read and write basic musical notation. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform rudimentary songs on the violin with clear tone, accurate intonation, and expressive musical style. Supplies: Violin and Bow. Shoulder Rest. Tuner. Suzuki Lesson Book 1 for Violin and I Can Read Music, Vol 1 for Violin. Laptop or iPad with camera and headphones for online classes required.
